Dr. Özgen Kıribrahim-Sarıkaya, who joined Sabancı University Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences in September 2026, has been awarded funding under the TÜBİTAK BİDEB 2236 International Fellowship for Experienced Researchers (CoCirculation3) Programme.
The 2236-A Programme is implemented under the CoCirculation3 Project, which was contracted in 2024 within the scope of the 2023 Marie Skłodowska-Curie COFUND Call of the European Union’s Horizon Europe Programme. The first call under the programme was launched by TÜBİTAK in 2025. The programme aims to enable experienced researchers from around the world to conduct high-quality research at leading academic and non-academic institutions in Türkiye.
Under the call supporting Green Deal-focused projects, Dr. Özgen Kıribrahim-Sarıkaya will carry out her project, “BRIDGE: When Border Carbon Pricing Meets Domestic Emissions Trading: Competitiveness and Decarbonization in Emerging Economies,” at Sabancı University for 24 months under the supervision of Prof. Dr. İnci Gümüş.
